How long does it take for a made-to-order item to be ready for shipping?

Average time is within 4-6 weeks. Although it can take less or more time, it depends on the work flow, the complexity of your order, and the size of your order. If it will take more time than the average 4-6 weeks, we do our best to let you know as much in advance as possible.

Why used reclaimed and salvaged wood? If it is reclaimed wouldn't the prices be less expensive?

We use reclaimed and salvaged wood so that fresh lumber is ready to be used for new construction. There is such a high demand for lumber these days, due to natural disasters like forest fires and hurricanes, that we want to keep the fresh lumber for construction companies.

Because the demand for lumber has gone up, all lumber has gone up including reclaimed and salvaged pieces. Additionally, to get reclaimed and salvaged pieces ready to use there is more work involved depending on the piece. We do as much as we can in our process so it takes little time, but depending on the piece, we have to clean, straighten/square, strip, and/or plane before we begin using it.

What is the average processing time for in stock items before my order is shipped?

Within 24-48 business hours, unless there are extenuating circumstances which we will let you know asap. Although most of our items are made-to-order or custom orders which then takes on average 4-6 weeks for the project to be ready to ship.

What is the average wait time for a custom order to be finished and read to ship?

We really can't say. It's a case by case answer depending on the custom order and if we have an influx of orders. When contacting us about a custom order, let us know if there is a date you need it by and we will try to do our best to work with you to accommodate your needs. If we can not finish it in the time frame you need it by we will let you know as soon as possible, including in the quote we send you.
